Sudanese President Omar Bashir is due in Cairo Wednesday 25/03/2009 in a whirlwind visit as he will hold talks with President Hosni Mubarak.
Meanwhile, Minister of Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Mufid Shehab said Egypt has asked for halting the implementation of an International Criminal Court ruling to arrest Bashir in accordance with article no. 16 of the Court’s Statute.
He told parliament on Tuesday 24/03/2009 that Egypt spares no effort to resolve the Sudanese problem to save its integrity and unity.
Moreover, he said Sudan’s national security is one of the main concerns not only of Egypt but the entire Arab world.
